Most things we write come out of a moment of enthusiasm

About Kodiko

Hello! Welcome to my blog!

I am 20 years old and I live in Adelaide, South Australia.I am currently in The United States of America doing a three week intensive media topic that will count as credit towards my degree at home.

What I do: I am a uni student studying media and creative writing. I also work casually as a promotional in-store demonstrator. My long term plan is that once I graduate in 2014 I will either work for a year or two as an air hostess and then go travelling full time for 3-5 years. Or if I have enough money saved I will skip the air hostess bit, though that would be great fun I think!

I live with my boyfriend of almost two years and we don’t have any children or pets, as yet. I am trying to convince him to let me get a ferret or a turtle, but it seems unlikely.

I am all for the collection of memories, not things. I will admit to owning more than 30 pairs of shoes, but it is the memories I have, the lessons I’ve learnt and the experiences I have shared with amazing people that I love more. I am slowly expanding my list of places travelled; so far I have been to New Zealand, Germany, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, parts of Australia and Costa Rica. By the end of the year I will also have visited Singapore and with a bit of resourcefulness and ingenuity, more of Australia too.

I love to have new experiences and the best way to do that, for me, is to travel, when every day will bring something new, unusual, different and wonderful. My blog is infinitely more interesting when I am travelling, so feel free to follow me for when I have those interesting moments, and I shall try to keep you entertained during the in-between bits too.

I will offer random travel tips for getting about on a budget. I am a huge fan of the couchsurfing project, and love hunting down the cheapest transport fares whether it be land or air. I am strong believer that the world is a good and happy place, and that kindness begets kindness. I am very trusting, but I’m not stupid either.

Peace, respect,

I have another blog to document my attempts at cupcake artistry, you can find it here.

Hi. I was reading your blog on the sea turtle project you carried out in Costa Rica, and it just sounded like a wonderful experience. I am actually carrying out a dissertation on how the media plays a role in influencing an individual to carry out a sea turtle project, and I was wondering if it is possible for you to participate in my study relating to this toipc. Please send me a message if you are interested in participating, as I would really like to hear your expeience in a sea turtle project. Thank You. Sonali
